The 479 Wagon

A Hand‑Built Arkansas Skoolie Retreat With Sunset Soaking Tubs & a Garden Oasis

The 479 Wagon is my Arkansas-grown passion project—born from a retired school bus, a lot of imagination, and an even bigger love for the natural beauty of this state. What started as a simple idea quickly turned into a full creative journey: transforming an ordinary bus into a one-of-a-kind glamping escape tucked right here in the heart of Arkansas.

Every detail of the Skoolie was crafted by hand, from the custom woodwork to the warm, cozy interior designed to make guests feel instantly at home. But the true magic of this Arkansas retreat lives just outside the bus.

One of the most-loved features of The 479 Wagon is the sunset soaking tubs—deep, rustic tubs perfectly positioned to catch the Arkansas sky as it glows gold and pink in the evenings. Guests tell me it’s their favorite part of the stay: a peaceful moment to unwind, sip something cold, and soak in the quiet beauty that makes Arkansas so special.

Surrounding the space is a garden oasis I’ve built and nurtured over time. Lush greenery, winding paths, and pockets of calm create a setting that feels like a hidden Arkansas sanctuary, even though it’s just minutes past Drake Field and a short drive from Fayetteville.

Today, The 479 Wagon is more than a converted bus. It’s an Arkansas escape where guests can slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a stay that blends comfort, creativity, and the natural charm of the Ozarks. And with direct booking, the experience is now even more personal and seamless.
